Blogging is Dead, Not a Revolution: RIP Articles!

Blogging is not dead, but it has only evolved. Is there any opinion or evidence that blogging is dead? This is very interesting to know. What do you think? If this really happens, it will certainly discourage new bloggers.

But, the reality and sadly I say, is that blogging is indeed dead. Say goodbye to blogging. Now, all that exists is a world of short text content, pictures, and videos. The death I mentioned here means that the role of blogs is less popular.

So, if you are planning to become a blogger, you should think a thousand times.

Why?

First, search engine algorithms only prioritize long blog articles. Meanwhile, the number of readers who like in-depth long articles is very small. Most people like short ones because they are easy to understand.

Second, as mentioned before, reading interest has also decreased. Most people like to read 2 sentences, the rest prefer to listen and watch. Visual content such as videos and images is now often the main choice for many people to find information or entertainment. Social media has also become a very powerful platform for sharing short information, interacting, and building communities.

In fact, blogging is not an important part of digital marketing. SEO services, how’s it going?

But, blogging still has its charm. Because:

  • Blogging as a Source of In-Depth Information: Blogs are still a good choice for conveying useful information. Especially those that discuss topics in depth, are complex, or require long and structured explanations. Not all topics can be explained effectively through video or images alone.
  • Important Role in SEO: Optimized blog articles are still very important for visibility on search engines like Google. Text content allows search engines to understand topics better and direct users who are looking for specific information.
  • Building Authority and Trust: Blogs allow writers to build a portfolio, authority, and trust in a particular field. Of course, through quality writing, in-depth research, and unique perspectives. This may be more difficult to achieve only through short visual content on social media.
  • Content Hub and Broader Strategy: Many individuals and businesses use blogs as the center of their content strategy. Blog articles can be the basis for social media content, video scripts, or other marketing materials.
  • Niche and Community: Blogs are still very effective for building online communities around specific interests or topics. People looking for in-depth information or wanting to discuss often look for blogs that focus on that area.

So, blogging still has a unique and important role in today’s digital content ecosystem.

What is your opinion on this? Do you agree that blogging is dead?
